Women have played an important part of the United States Army from the beginning of this country. Every since Molly Pitcher in the Revolutionary War stepped forward to take her husbands place, women have always stepped forward. We have some great Army costumes for women that will let you become Army Strong this Halloween.

Army Officer Uniform – Yes Mame! This officer uniform looks sharp and will get a lot of salutes when you walk into any room. It is in the familiar army green, the jacket with medals will fit your curves very nicely. The costume also includes the pencil skirt, jaunty army hat and necktie. Shirt and shoes are not included. Women in the military had to stay in the background as support and were not allowed to actually go into combat until recently. Their support has always been vital during wartime as well as peacetime. They were the unsung heroines that are now getting the recognition they deserve.

There are only a few jobs that women in the Army today do not perform. As a matter of fact they are serving in Afghanistan and Iraq in direct combat. Female soldiers are sadly among the war casualties. If anything, the War on Terrorism has taken down the barriers that stood in the way for so long.
